As sustainability becomes increasingly important to consumers and brands, strategies are being put in place to make packaging more environmentally-friendly. The Dreaming Tree Wines, a company that was developed by musician Dave Matthews and winemaker Sean McKenzie, has incorporated sustainability into its mission — particularly with its packaging. For example, according to its website, The Dreaming Tree's labels are produced with recycled kraft brown paper and its bottles are a quarter pound lighter than typical wine bottles. While its sustainable packaging is noteworthy, the label design also stands out with foil on the leaves of the tree and an eye-catching asymmetrical diecut. If you've seen a label or package that stands out, be sure to contact Sara Dunn at sdunn@napco.com.
