When browsing the aisles for a bottle of wine, consumers will often have a specific style in mind and a price point they want to adhere to, and may not necessarily be driven by a specific brand. That's where the importance of an eye-catching label comes in, to serve as a platform for a brand to stand out among the competition and push the consumer toward the moment of truth. This week, we're highlighting the labels adorning the Freakshow wine series, produced by Michael David Winery. Specifically, the label for the 2016 Zinfandel stands out with incredible flexographic printing and multiple embellishments. This label was so impressive, it earned first place for Multi-Color Corporation's wine and spirits division in the Wine and Beer Labels - Flexo (Process) category in the 2018 packagePRINTING Excellence Awards.
