In today's episode of POW!, we revisit the deodorant market segment and the industry's efforts to reduce rigid plastic waste stemming from the tubes and caps commonly found in this market. Earlier this month, Dove announced that it would be launching a line of deodorants featuring a reusable stainless steel case, allowing consumers to simply buy replacement deodorant stick refills, helping to keep plastic out of landfills. Here at Packaging Impressions, we got our hands on one of Dove's starter kits, and were impressed not only with the reusable aspects of the packaging, but the paperboard folding carton that it comes in.
