In today's episode of POW!, we take a look at the recyclable toothpaste tube launched by Tom's of Maine, a personal-care brand that has been a leader in sustainability for decades. To develop this tube, Tom's of Maine utilized a #2 HDPE construction, rather than the mixed plastic found in most toothpaste tubes, which render them non-recyclable in most streams. This tube however, can be recycled with other #2 plastics, giving consumers an easy and eco-friendly way to discard their empty tubes.
