2017 Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair: Your One-Stop Shop for Printing and Packaging Solutions
The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and CIEC Exhibition Company (HK) Limited will present the region’s leading industry platform, the Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair, from April 27-30, 2017 at AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong. The 12th edition of the fair offers visitors access to a comprehensive list of suppliers of printing and packaging equipment, products, services and total solutions. In 2016, some 14,400 buyers — representing a broad spectrum of decision makers from advertising agencies, production houses, design companies, retailers, publishers and marketers — from 96 countries and regions attended the fair for sourcing. In 2017, the fair is expected to welcome more than 430 international quality exhibitors.
Buyer Expectations Met by Exhibitors
Technological innovation is often a crucial driving force to industry advancement, and the ability to catch up with the newest production technology is one of the keys to corporate success. Each year, the fair keeps abreast of latest market trends and gathers the state-of-the-art equipment which attracts substantial buyers’ interests. The fair showcases Hong Kong’s capabilities as one of the world’s leading printing and packaging centers and its position as a trading hub.
Buyers are looking for cost-effective technology as well as suppliers who can offer value-added solutions which encompass pre-press and post-production services. The fair also presents suppliers with eco-credentials in the form of connections who understand the international environmental regulations governing packaging in both domestic and export markets, and how packaging which aids in meeting recycling or recovery targets is in demand. As the Chinese mainland manufacturing sector grows, the packaging market expands.
Zones Meet Buyer Needs
Based on the interests of exhibition attendees, HKTDC has developed the fair into various thematic zones. Buyers will find the perfect arena that facilitates face-to-face interaction with prospective business partners. The designated zones represented in the fair include Printing Services, Packaging Services, Food & Beverage Packaging Solutions, Printing Consumables & Packaging Materials, Printing & Packaging Equipment, Digital Printing Equipment, Integrated Pre-press & Trade Services and Integrated Packaging Solutions, De Luxe Zone and Green Printing & Packaging Solutions and new for 2017, the Printing and Packaging Solutions for Fashion & Accessories and Innovative Retail Display Solutions.
Printing and Packaging Solutions for Fashion & Accessories will highlight printing and packaging solutions for fashion & accessories with products such as textile printing machines, labels and ribbons. Innovative Retail Display Solutions will present unique and eye-catching retail display solutions, including paper display racks, visual merchandising and smart shelf solutions.
In view of the burgeoning demand for premium products and the “going green” trend, both the De Luxe Zone and Green Printing & Packaging Solutions return this year with an expanded area to encompass a wider array of high quality and eco-friendly products.
The De Luxe Zone caters to manufacturers and others involved in luxury goods such as jewelry, watches, cosmetics, perfumes, wine, spirits, gourmet food, gifts, fashion and accessories. Attendees will find expert suppliers with a wide range of high quality printing and packaging options within this zone. In 2017, the De Luxe Zone has expanded further to include premium packaging products made of innovative materials, as well as auxiliary items such as ribbons, special papers and premium films.
Green Printing & Packaging Solutions welcomes buyers looking for services and supplies which make a positive contribution to the environment. Attendees will be able to source packaging which comes from sustainable resources, can be recycled, or is energy-saving.
