Komori America is proud to be a Gold sponsor of the Digital Packaging Summit being held Nov. 8-10 in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. The invitation-only event offers insights into what printing and converting industry leaders should do to improve and optimize their business. Komori’s packaging solutions address market demands by offering both offset and digital press technology developed to meet the evolving requirements of packaging production. They include the Impremia IS29s, a 29-inch sheetfed inkjet press with UV capability, the GLX Advance series of offset presses, and the new-to-market Impremia NS40 40-inch sheetfed inkjet Nanographic Printing system.
During the event, Komori is partnering with packaging producer Spectrum Printing of Tucson, Arizona to set the stage for folding carton inspiration that can be accomplished with the Komori Impremia IS29s. Ken Huizenga, operations manager for Spectrum Printing, will present data, samples, and a video of the production of a small folding carton application used in the new field of cannabis marketing. The colors used and proofed, along with the prototype run of a single item, show the flexibility and high-print quality that make the Impremia IS29s perfect for short-run package printing.
“The demand for digital print in the packaging market will continue to grow as the demand for short runs, personalized packaging, data-driven tracking and color consistency across platforms grows,” said Lance Martin, vice president of marketing for Komori America. “The Digital Packaging Summit is an important educational event and the perfect venue for direct communication with technology adopters.”
