Most consumers have no concept of what goes on when designing a package. A consumer products company (CPC) has a tremendous amount invested into presenting just the right image with just the right amount of splash to draw a consumer in to have them to buy an item. What some printers do not realize is how much of an impact they can have on this process and how their roles are not only to print the finished products.

For those of you whose favorite shopping venue is a candy store, Labelexpo Americas might have been able to satisfy your craving—albeit, at a slightly higher price tag. When I shop at my favorite store (Hershey's Chocolate World in Hershey, Pa.), I tend to fill up my basket with one of everything and then two or three of the treats I really like.

TLMI Label Awards: The Industry Shines

Tag and Label Manufacturers Institute (TLMI) converter members showed off some of the best product-decoration offerings the package-printing industry has to offer while competing in TLMI's annual Label Awards contest. This year, 52 printers submitted an impressive 297 entries. From these, 81 total awards were presented, including 52 first-place honors and 27 second-place awards.
