A Southern Success Story
In the past year, Valdese Packaging & Label in Valdese, N.C., added a new six-color, 40˝ Mitsubishi Diamond 3000LX press with aqueous coater, which has allowed it to print on a wide array of substrates, from onion skin to 40-point board. According to CEO Darren Little, the company is now looking to add another 40˝ press.

Running Lean, Mean and Green

Arthur Staib Jr. and his brother Allen Staib are now looking beyond the arrival of their new Heidelberg offset press due in late 2012 and already have their next major capital investment in the planning stages for 2013.

World Reflection –Polischuk
Before you get the wrong idea, drupa 2012, was a very successful show. There were a lot of business transactions at the show, with a visitor survey indicating close to 50 percent placing specific orders, and a raft of company press announcements about sales on the show floor. (Staged events, for sure, but business none the less.)
