Air Motion Systems To Launch ‘Bullet-Proof’ P3 UV at drupa
ARVADA, Colo.—Air Motion Systems (AMS) will introduce its third-generation P3 UV system to the global market at drupa 2008. FTA Inducts Vreeland into Hall of Fame
RONKONKOMA, N.Y.—The Flexographic Technical Association has named Howard B. Vreeland Jr., chief operating officer of Anderson & Vreeland Inc., the 46th inductee to its Hall of Fame. The announcement was made Sunday, April 27, at Foundation of FTA’s Annual Forum in Dallas, Texas. Vreeland knew from a very early age that printing plants and pressrooms would become focal points in his life’s work, as well as the center of his uncompromising efforts to identify, develop, and introduce new products that contribute to the advancement of flexographic print quality and consistency. IDTechEx Printed Electronics Europe 2008 Awards Announced
More than 600 delegates from 28 countries were in attendance at the recent IDTechEx Printed Electronics Europe event held in Dresden. The event featured the IDTechEx Printed Electronics Awards in recognition of outstanding achievement, which were given at the gala dinner on April 7. Seriharta Grafik Switches to Narrow Web Flexo
IPOH, Malaysia—In Ipoh, the capital of the state of Perak, Malaysia, Seriharta Grafik Sdn Bhd successfully transferred its cigarette hard pack printing production from sheet-fed offset to narrow web flexography in March 2007. To improve print quality and productivity, the company purchased a Gallus EM410 flexo press equipped with rotary diecutting and a Martin MBS automatic splicer. Gallus recommended the Martin MBS splicer to help Seriharta Grafik get the highest productivity possible from its new press. Originally the company simply thought an automatic splicer would help print continuously by eliminating stops for roll changing.
