It was Europe's turn this year to host the AWA Label Release Liner Industry Seminar, and a healthy number of participants, from every level of the value chain, convened in Brussels in late September. Opening the seminar, AWA Alexander Watson Associates' President and CEO, Corey Reardon, confirmed that business in the roll-label sector "continues to be optimistic."
This year's AWA Label Release Liner Seminar for the the pressure-sensitive label and release liner market, will take place in Chicago, at the Hyatt Rosemont Hotel on September 10. The seminar is conveniently scheduled a day prior to Label Expo 2012.
It seems as though labels are everywhere. In an office, many items like White Out, hand lotion, and water bottles all have labels adorning the exterior of the package. BRUSSELS, Belgium—RISI announced that UPM President and Chief Executive Officer Jussi Pesonen has been selected as the first-ever European CEO of the Year for the forest products industry. Pesonen will be presented with the award at the 9th RISI European Pulp & Paper Outlook Conference in Barcelona, Spain to be held on March 25-27, 2007. Pesonen was nominated European CEO of the Year in a survey, conducted by RISI, of investment analysts and portfolio managers covering the forest products industry.
