Siegwerk has published its first ever Sustainability Report, which the company says increases its transparency and creates a new foundation for evaluating its sustainability initiatives.

Siegwerk has launched a new series of EB-curable inks for offset printing, and specifically designed for flexible packaging. The inks provide offset flexible packaging printers with an improved short-run solution and faster changeover times.

Siegwerk has launched the new SICURA Nutriflex LEDTec ink series, the first LED UV flexo inks for food and pharmaceutical packaging applications.

The Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) is all set to celebrate its 55th anniversary at its big bash—the annual FTA Forum and INFO*FLEX exhibition. With a theme of "Right Here. Siegwerk Canada and USA (CUSA) has begun new construction of a Center for Printing Excellence to house Siegwerk’s pilot press. Ground-breaking began on Wednesday, August 15, 2012. The Center for Printing Excellence is projected to be finished and operational by the end of 2012 and will be housed at Siegwerk’s Des Moines, IA, facility (CUSA headquarters).
