The Paperboard Packaging Council (PPC) recently released its annual 2011 Trends: Industry Outlook and Market Data Report, the definitive analysis of what lies ahead for the paperboard packaging industry. The report reflects the partnership of PPC and (RISI), the leading provider of paperboard packaging industry market forecasts and analysis. The report identifies growth markets and analyzes trends for 17 key market segments of the paperboard packaging industry, including beverage, cereal and dairy markets. Graphic Packaging International (GPI), Marietta, Ga., took home the National Paperboard Package of the Year award at the Paperboard Packaging Council’s (PPC’s) National Paperboard Packaging Competition. One hundred and seventeen entries from 31 PPC members competed as part of the 68th annual awards program. The Paperboard Packaging Council (PPC) announces that Eastman Kodak Co., Rochester, NY, joined the organization as an associate member. Nordson Supports PPC’s Sustainability Outreach and Education Program

Four Nordson communities participated in the Paperboard Packaging Council’s (PPC) Trees Into Cartons, Cartons Into Trees (TICCIT) program during the month of April. In honor of Earth Day and Arbor Day, the educational portion of the program outlined how trees are used to produce paperboard packaging and the process for recycling used paperboard to extend the life of the paperboard and preserve trees.
