FORT MILLS, S.C.—The Flexographic Trade School (FTS) will hold an open house, Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007 at the FTS facility in Fort Mills, SC. The open house will celebrate the installation of two new Mark Andy 2200 presses, the newest model just recently launched by the Mark Andy brand. The new machines will provide FTS with the newest press designs which will allow the school’s stsudents to receive an up-to-date flexo technology education. KECO has developed high-performance non-stick coatings for EZ Clean ink pans and traction release idler rolls for narrow web applications and Mark Andy will support KECO by supplying OEM parts, including, ink pans, and idler rolls. LOUIS, Mo.—Mark Andy is very pleased to announce the winners of the first annual World Class Print Awards competition. 162 total entries were received from around the world and judged by independent judges from the converting industry. The judges selected the winners in six prize-winning categories at Mark Andy headquarters office in St. Louis on August 16. Over the years, Mark Andy has seen the many diverse and distinguishing type of labels being produced from customers around the world. Each year has brought new types of labels never before produced further highlighting the variety of printing processes, substrates, creative design and printing techniques.
