Madern USA Opens New Facility
February 7, 2007

APEX, N.C.—Madern USA recently celebrated the grand opening of its 60,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility in Apex, N.C. Founder Jean Madern, Sr. was present at the grand opening, as well as many other family members and board of directors. His son, Jean Madern, Jr.—current president and owner of Madern—was presented with a plaque to commemorate the grand opening. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was done in a folkloric manner with Congressman David Price and Jean Madern, Jr. wearing “klompen” (traditional wooden shoes) and a “boeren sjaal” (farmer’s scarf). Price welcomed international visitors, customers, and employees and acknowledged that Madern’s choice for its expansion was a good one.
