PRINT 13 and CPP EXPO had a successful five-day run in McCormick Place. "Two common themes seemed to be repeated by attendees and exhibitors alike at the show this year," reported Ralph Nappi, president of the Graphic Arts Show Company. "First, a sense of optimism existed that has not been evidenced in our industry for a few years; the second was the surprising number of deals that were inked at the show."

Folding carton manufacturer Walter G. Anderson has installed its second 57" KBA Rapida 145 press. The company praises the press's print consistency and high speed.
A new six-color, 41˝ KBA Rapida 105 press with UV has been added at Imagine! Print Solutions in Minneapolis. "Our print buyer customers, like everyone else, are looking for higher quality and faster throughput, and we can offer these things in combination with the new KBA press," said Bob Lothenbach, founder and president.
Folding carton manufacturer Malnove has added a new seven-color, 57˝ KBA Rapida 145 sheetfed press at its Omaha, NE, facility. The press is equipped with a host of automation features including, the KBA SIS Sensoric sidelay-free Infeed, board version, DensiTronic Professional Closed Loop Spectrophotometry, Auto Register, LogoTronic Professional, CleanTronic Synchro, and a high-speed package for a maximum speed of 17,000 sph.
