Epson America is using PACK EXPO International 2012 as its platform to launch its new ColorWorks™ C831 Wide Label Printer. The new printer is designed to help chemical manufacturers and transporters comply with Globally Harmonized System (GHS) labeling standards. Epson will be hosting several live, 10-minute presentations at its booth for attendees that would like to learn more about GHS compliance.

The Epson SurePress® L-4033AW inkjet digital label press with White ink, made its North American debut at Labelexpo Americas 2012 earlier this week. The press is designed to make high-quality, short-run label printing easier and more efficient, and gives label printers and converters the ability to print on-demand with variable data printing.

Aimed at printers, brand owners, end users, designers and industry suppliers, the South China Label Show 2012 is reported to be one of the largest events for labels, package printing, product decoration and converting in the area. The event will take place in the new, larger Pazhou Exhibition Centre in Guangzhou between Dec. 4-6 2012.

Epson has launched the SurePress L-4033AW—a seven-color inkjet digital label press with White ink for high-quality, short-run label printing. The press delivers sharp print quality and accurate color reproduction on a wide variety of standard label substrates.

Agfa Graphics announced that its wide-format digital printing experts will be on-hand for the company’s free Open House Technology demos on May 22-23, 2012, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 50 Meister Ave., Branchburg, NJ.

Since the last drupa held in 2008 the suppliers of digital solutions have become even more important and reflect the mega-trend of digitization. In six halls, drupa 2012, held at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany, will show everything concerning digital printing, workflow, or Web-to-print applications, just to name some important examples.
