The new Jetrion 4900M UV digital inkjet printing system was unveiled by EFI this past week at Labelexpo Americas. The Jetrion 4900M system combines the performance of EFI's existing family of Jetrion UV digital presses with the flexibility of industrial inline web finishing. EFI also showed the 4900M-330, which features a 13˝ print width.

More than 30 labelstocks for EFI’s state-of-the-art digital Jetrion Industrial Inkjet Systems, including the 4000, 4830 and 4900 series of UV inkjet presses, have now been qualified by UPM Raflatac. “UPM Raflatac is pleased to partner with EFI to offer labelstock converters and their customers a complete digital printing solution,” said Patrick Goss, prime business director, Americas, UPM Raflatac.
ImageTek can now enter the prime label market—including beverage, beer and wine, and food packaging applications—due to new digital technology investements, such as a Jetrion 4900 UV inkjet digital printing system.

EFI Jetrion Industrial Inkjet Systems can print on many of Spinnaker’s standard pressure sensitive products without requiring a special top coating, making material sourcing easy. In addition to facestocks, Spinnaker has also received approval on 40# SCK and 50# SCK liners for one- and two-color backside printing.
Label and packaging provider LTi Printing has selected EFI Radius as its new MIS/ERP software. After experiencing steady growth over the years, LTi decided the time was finally right to move to a single ERP system.
The union between Kodak and EFI will provide print service providers with a fully-integrated solution that allows them to manage jobs for multiple offset and digital devices from a single user interface.
Whitlam Label has added EFI Radius MIS/ERP software to better monitor how its presses are running, look at operator performance and view profitability information. The company's plant in Detroit will run the Radius software, which is expected to be fully implemented by early fall.
