The North American FTA put ‘Color in Focus’ before an audience of nearly 300 flexographers during its recent annual Fall Conference. Boy, there’s a lot to inspection! In-line versus off-line, rewind versus press-mounted, the human eye versus video—these are only a few, but critical, considerations. ELMHURST, Ill.—BST Pro Mark has donated a new Powerscope 3000 video web inspection system to the Ditrolio Flexographic Institute, which has been installed on its 13˝ six-color Profiteer press at DFI’s facility in Broadview, Ill. The donated inspection system features a compact camera with a 4˝ x 3˝ image size and 40x magnification, which, according to Vince Ditrolio, president of DFI, “allows us to use it both as an inspection system and as a real time teaching device.
