PWC manufactured custom pressure-sensitive products and contracted coating and slitting for label converters in the U.S. and internationally. This purchase provides 3 Sigma additional hot-melt capacity as well as much needed slitting capacity to handle recent and planned growth in sales activity. In addition, other equipment acquired will be used to support 3 Sigma’s recent expansion into solvent adhesive products. TROY, Ohio—3 Sigma Corporation announced the promotion of Larry Slaven to the position of president and chief operating officer. Slaven has been with 3 Sigma since 1997 and was most recently the company’s vice president and general manager. Slaven has more than 30 years of experience in the paper and pressure-sensitive industry, at companies such as Kimberly-Clark and Brown-Bridge/Spinnaker. “3 Sigma is positioned very favorably in the market.
