PaperWorks Industries, a leading full-service provider of 100% recycled paperboard and specialized folding cartons for packaging applications, has installed a fully-equipped, seven-color, 41" Komori Lithrone GX40 (GLX740) offset press with multiple coaters at its Greensboro, N.C., facility.

Heidelberg is utilizing an innovation initiative to step up its activities in the label segment and is further expanding its position in the growing labels market. In the growing labels sector, Heidelberg will be concentrating on end-to-end digitized solutions in sheetfed offset printing.

The winning package was submitted by Diamond Packaging of Rochester, N.Y., and is a great example of how print and embellishment can create an eye-catching package.

With production on the rise at Zumbiel Packaging as a result of the pandemic, the company invested in a new seven-color, 57" Koenig & Bauer Rapida 145. The large format size was important to increase process efficiency in existing carton production by reducing makeready by 40%.

AM Lithography, the largest single-facility purchaser of Komori presses in the United States, has installed its 20th Komori press since receiving its first in 1987. The new Komori Lithrone G40 joins a fleet that also includes a Komori Impremia IS29 digital inkjet press.

TPC Printing & Packaging has increased speeds and reduced makeready times with the installation of a new Koenig & Bauer Rapida 105 PRO perfector press. With its in-line Eagle cold foil system, the new press has also allowed TPC to produce innovative packaging designs for high-end brands.

With the installation of a new seven-color, 57" Koenig & Bauer Rapida 145, Superior Lithographics has seen significant improvements in its product quality and consistency. This includes a 32% increase in overall sheet throughput.

After 16 years with Komori and nearly 40 years in the printing industry, Terry Mills will retire on September 30. Mills is currently Komori’s district sales manager for the Southern region, based in North Carolina.
