Komori reached an agreement with Shinwa Factory to conduct field testing of the Impremia NS40. Shinwa Factory provides across-the-board services from designing of creative packaging, displays and sales promotion material, to high volumes of printing, processing, and delivery.

Thirty-four Komori customers — representing 19 of Komori's key U.S. accounts — visited the Komori America facility on Oct. 2 in Rolling Meadows, Ill., for an open house. The event featured presentations and demonstrations highlighting Komori's latest offset and digital equipment, as well as the company's future direction.

Komori’s facility in Tsukuba, Japan, has centralized the company’s production of its sheetfed offset, web offset, and banknote printing presses under one roof, along a non-stop assembly line. It also houses the Komori Graphic Technology Center for global demonstration, and its training center.

TPC Printing & Packaging, a Chattanooga, Tenn.-based printer specializing in high-end folding cartons and promotional packaging, will install a new 10-color, 41˝ Koenig & Bauer Rapida 105 PRO in early 2020. The press will join an existing eight-color Rapida 105.

During Heidelberg Label Day, an event the company hosted in September at its Wiesloch-Walldorf site, attendees witnessed multiple product debuts, including the FoilStar Cure and the IML Performance Package. The FoilStar Cure allows for the application of cold foil on in-mold label foils across the entire run on a Speedmaster XL 106.

Offset printing may have a lengthy history, but that does not mean it lacks in innovation. Printers and converters rely on the latest in offset for high-end packaging.

Graphic Village has added a new RMGT 940 LED UV press, which will grow the company's commercial and package printing services. On the packaging side, the press is expected to help Graphic Village expand in the high-end food and beverage markets.
