Tags & Labels Printing recently installed the Heidelberg Versafire EP, and is now offering short-run packaging to customers. Only a month after its installation, the company is showing off its press capabilities by doing prototyping and sampling work for customers.

The fifth-annual Digital Packaging Summit — the largest ever edition of the event — addressed all four major segments of the packaging industry and how package printers from across the board can benefit from all that digital printing and converting technology have to offer.

Riddle Press, a commercial printing company in Beaverton, Ore., has added short run packaging to its portfolio via a Heidelberg Versafire EP digital press. The Versafire EP was installed at Riddle Press in March of this year.

During the 2019 Digital Packaging Summit, Steve Powers, sales director for North America, labels and packaging, HP Indigo, shared how HP has taken a leadership position in digital printing for labels and packaging with its diverse portfolio that addresses all packaging segments. 

Adams Litho invested in several Heidelberg devices to produce unique and high-quality packages as sales are predicted to grow. The company has been a partner of Heidelberg for decades, and continues to operate as a complete Heidelberg shop.

Bennett Graphics, an Atlanta-based print service provider, hosted an open house on Thursday, June 13, showcasing its digital workflow of printing, enhancement, and finishing equipment. The event featured demonstrations of Bennett's HP Indigo, Scodix, and Highcon equipment.

During its Xeikon Café North America event, Xeikon unveiled its Power of Dry Toner campaign. The campaign serves to promote dry toner as a complement to high speed inkjet solutions.

Brian Cleary, Category Manager for HP Indigo Label Solutions, joined packagePRINTING Editor-in-Chief Cory Francer at the Digital Packaging Summit to discuss HP's leadership in digital printing for labels and packaging. Cleary detailed how HP stands out with product offerings for all packaging segments and in the development of unique imaging technologies.

Xeikon hosted its second edition of Xeikon Café North America last week, highlighting its latest innovations in digital printing, sharing digital printing success stories, and providing a glimpse into what the company has in store for Labelexpo Americas in the fall.
