Xeikon Café has announced the full details of its large-scale business and technical programs, as well as the schedule of live production of key digital print applications. The event will be held from March 28-31 at Xeikon headquarters in Lier, Belgium.
At Dscoop Phoenix, HP announced it reached the 500 sales milestone of its HP Indigo Series 4 digital press lineup. The Indigo Series 4 presses include the HP Indigo 10000 and 12000 for commercial printing, HP Indigo 20000 for labels and flexible packaging, HP Indigo 30000 for folding cartons and the duplex oversized 30˝, roll-fed HP Indigo 50000.

Xeikon has reported a record sales year in North America with figures over 70% and it is now positioned for even greater success in 2017. In addition to the markets Xeikon is already established, the company is seeking growth in heat transfer, in-mold label and folding carton segments.

McFaddin Marketing has installed a Colordyne 3600 Series Laser Pro, which has allowed it to add just-in-time label printing and reduce its inventory of pre-printed labels by 75%. The new digital press also provides in-line finishing and laser diecutting capabilities.
Lucien De Schamphelaere, who founded Xeikon in 1988, passed away on January 20. He was 85. In addition to starting Xeikon, De Schamphelaere spent 40 years working for Agfa-Gevaert. He was the winner of several industry awards and is considered a pioneer of digital printing.
The second annual Digital Packaging Summit once again brought together leading converters and suppliers in an intimate environment to discuss digital technology in packaging. At the end of the Summit, it was determined that now is the time to explore the technology's benefits.
