HP’s PageWide True Water-Based Inks for digital corrugated printing have received a 2019 InterTech Technology Award from Printing Industries of America. The inks offer converters environmental benefits and an increased ability to produce corrugated applications digitally.

At Labelexpo Americas, attendees were provided with Mouvent digital label print samples based around Mouvent Cluster technology, a system that uses lightweight clusters instead of fixed size print bars by color, arranged in a modular, scalable matrix.

Kao Collins announced the launch of its proprietary magnetic ink character recognition product. The water-based ink formulation with metal oxide nanoparticles is formulated for Kyocera and HP thermal inkjet printheads and can be adapted to work in other technologies.

INX International, which completed a $4 million expansion at its Charlotte, N.C. facility last year, has completed the finishing touches connected to the project. Production in the Charlotte facility impacts four continents — North America, South America, Asia and Europe.

Flint Group's three divisions — Flint Group Narrow Web, Flint Group Flexographic Products and Flint Group Digital Solutions (Xeikon) — will all display their latest solutions at Labelexpo Americas. Flint Group will also debut "The Flint Group Factory," a virtual label production shop in which all different Flint Group products and services are highlighted.
