Xeikon Prepress will debut a new integrated prepress solution for digital flexo plates at Labelexpo Europe 2019. The new solution builds on the success of ThermoFlexX digital imagers and Woodpecker Nano screening technology, and the mutual expertise of Xeikon Prepress and Flint Group's Flexographic Division.

Agfa Graphics has announced that it will be closing its 250,000-sq.-ft. offset printing plate manufacturing facility in Branchburg, N.J., by the end of this year in order to optimize its global production capacity and supply chain efficiencies. The plant closure will impact 125 workers.

Kodak has announced it has begun the process of selling its Flexographic Packaging Division. The division produces and markets the FLEXCEL NX system of flexographic imaging equipment, printing plates, consumables and related services.

MacDermid Graphics Solutions has been selected to receive a 2018 InterTech Award for Anti-Fluting Plate Technology. Since 1978, the InterTech Technology Awards have honored technologies predicted to shape the future of print and graphics communications.

MacDermid has introduced the commercial launch of LUX ITP MELO for the corrugated print market. The photopolymer sheet plate is designed for low to medium post print corrugated board.

Asahi Photoproducts will be taking part in EskoWorld, which will be held from June 5-7 in San Antonio. According to Stephan Doppelhammer, Asahi Photoproducts' Europe business development manager, Asahi's partnership with Esko has allowed for improved efficiency in flexographic platemaking.
