The Paperboard Packaging Council (PPC) has selected Steven C. Voorhees, former CEO of WestRock, as the recipient of its 2021 Robert T. Gair Award. Voorhees’s many accomplishments center around expanding WestRock’s capabilities, geographic presence, and industry leadership with numerous acquisitions.

Building on the success of R.R. Donnelley’s diagnostic test kits, the company now offers a wide range of diverse care kits spanning telemedicine prep, COVID-19, diabetes management, asthma, social isolation, and more.

As part of an essential industry, label and tag producers have kept the presses running throughout a trying 2020. They faced familiar challenges regarding capacity, rushed timelines and nonprint-ready artwork files, but thanks to COVID-19, the new normal quickly became business unusual.

Bill Pope will work closely with the newly-merged team at Idealliance, oversee the Alliance’s heavily utilized consulting services and awards programs, as well as lead Alliance educational initiatives, including the Continuous Improvement Conference and Technical Association of the Graphic Arts (TAGA).

In this move, Leskusky will retain his role in leading NAPCO Media as part of the PRINTING United Alliance portfolio and will additionally support Alliance efforts to further streamline myriad robust resources and services being offered from the Alliance.

Domino has created a tribute video to Tom Staib who passed away suddenly October 2, 2020. Tom, with his brother Andy, was 4th generation owner of DWS Printing, a label manufacturer located on Long Island in Deer Park, N.Y. that has been in business since 1865.
