EXTON, Pa.—Global specialty chemicals manufacturer Sartomer Company has appointed Alan Pape as business development manager. Pape is responsible for developing new business and markets for the specialty polymers division, which includes appliciations such as one-part moisture-curable and reactive hot-melt adhesives and sealants, tie layers between non-polar surfaces, and as modifiers for other polymer systems. He will report directly to Bill Wittig, business manager of Sartomer’s specialty polymers division. Pape has been with Sartomer for eight years, and previously held the positions of technical sales representative and product champion. He was named Sartomer’s Salesperson of the Year in 2001. PARSIPPANY, NJ—Dainippon Ink & Chemicals (DIC), Sun Chemical Corporation's ultimate parent, has developed a strategy to gain significant synergies by integrating the management of DIC and Sun Chemical's operations and more closely coordinating their global management structure. This will create significant benefits in terms of better serving customers and reducing costs. To facilitate this, DIC elected on December 31, 2005 Naoki Tsuji and Kazuo Kudo to the Board of Sun Chemical Corporation. In addition, Tsuji will become Vice Chairman of the Board.
