Michigan City Paper Box was honored with the 2019 Innovator of the Year award from AICC, Board Converting News, and Corrugated Today, for its In-House English as a Second Language (ESL) Program.

Steinhauser, a Newport, Ky.-based label and shrink sleeve printer, has been awarded a Best Workplace in the Americas designation from Printing Industries of America. The award recognizes exemplary human resources practices that create an outstanding workplace.

Jay A. Luft, McDowell Label's managing director of technology and strategic partnerships, passed away on July 1. Mr. Luft was a 40-year veteran of the label and packaging industry and will be missed.

Domino announced it has named Eric Demyanovich its new digital printing service engineer. Demyanovich has 16 years of experience and in this new role will help Domino continues to grow its digital printing business.

The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association announced James Martin has come on board as Executive VP, Supplier and Manufacturer Relations. Martin, who recently served as CEO of MBO America, will bring his experience with trade shows and associations to PRINTING United, which launches in October 2019.
