Xanté and Pantone Form Partnership
MOBILE, Ala. & DUIVEN, Netherlands—As a result of a recent partnership between the two companies, Xanté has integrated the PANTONE Color Libraries into the next major releases of OpenRIP Symphony and OpenRIP Flexo, premiering at drupa May 27-June 11, 2008.
The built-in color libraries include: PANTONE Goe coated and PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM solid coated, solid uncoated, and solid matte. Xanté is among the first to integrate the new PANTONE Goe system of 2,058 spot colors into OpenRIP workflow applications, making spot color matching easier and more accurate. The OpenRIP “Scan for Colors” feature examines incoming files to detect spot colors and automatically matches them with PANTONE Colors found in the color database. Xanté OpenRIP Symphony and OpenRIP Flexo Professional are feature-rich, robust and affordable PDF workflow solutions that automate the prepress process.
“We are pleased to partner with Pantone, one of the world’s leading color authorities, to give our OpenRIPcustomers access to the renowned PANTONE Color Libraries and the ability to cost-effectively and accurately produce color-matched proofs,” says Xanté CEO, Robert Ross. “Xanté understands its customers and continually delivers best-in-class solutions to meet their needs. The addition of the PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM and PANTONE Goe Color Libraries to the OpenRIP workflow adds even more ease-of-use and color control features to the Xanté prepress workflow,” says Andrew Hatkoff vice president, Advanced Color Technologies at Pantone, Inc.
