Steve Voorhees, CEO of WestRock, will deliver a keynote speech at the Paperboard Packaging Council’s Fall Meeting on Oct. 8 in Indianapolis. Formed with the merger of RockTenn and MeadWestvaco on July 1, WestRock aspires to be the premier partner and unrivaled provider of paper and packaging solutions in consumer and corrugated markets. WestRock's team members support customers around the world from approximately 275 operating and business locations spanning North America, South America, Europe and Asia.
Among other topics, Voorhees will address what’s next for WestRock and his role as vice chair of the Paper and Packaging Board that recently launched a $20 million campaign to promote the paper industry.
“It’s an exciting time for WestRock and the entire paperboard packaging industry,” said Voorhees. “I’m looking forward to sharing our story with PPC’s membership in Indianapolis this fall, and participating in a conversation about the future of our industry.”
In addition, meeting attendees will hear from digital printing innovator Benny Landa as well as Donna Harman, president and CEO of the American Forest and Paper Association (AF&PA). The conference will also include a reception and tour of Lucas Oil Stadium (home of the Indianapolis Colts) and the North American Paperboard Packaging Competition awards banquet where this year’s paperboard package of the year will be revealed. After the general conference, PPC will hold its first Women’s Leadership Conference.
“We have an outstanding meeting program lined up this year,” said Ben Markens, PPC president. “I am confident that it will live up to its reputation as the premier industry conference, providing immense value to converters and suppliers alike.”
