The video highlights a packed house of 65 of their customers and prospects with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, while providing an overview of why installing the Domino N610i is a “game changer” for their business and important to the growth of the company. In addition, brand owners provide their feedback in the video for what Argent’s investment means to them. The Domino N610i is the first digital production press for Argent Tape & Label.
“Welcome and thank you for joining us for what I view is a historic moment in Argent Tape & Label’s future," Lynn Perenic, owner and CEO, said at the Open House event. "Three years ago I rewrote our vision for Argent Tape & Label since obtaining the company in 2010. Part of this vision was to invest in new technology, more specifically the need to embrace the advantages of what this digital press would allow us to do, and what we can offer our customers."
Argent Tape & Label produces 45 million labels per year with about 75% of its label business in the automotive industry. The demand for providing ‘zero-defect’ labels for their automotive customers, coupled with the desire to grow the business into other markets, such as food & beverage and health & beauty, which tend to require shorter runs combined with a large number of SKUs, helped fuel the need to add digital. What this means for brand owners is that Argent Tape & Label provides beautifully printed, color-consistent labels with a quick turnaround on their label jobs.
The seven-color Domino N610i digital UV inkjet label press runs at a minimum 165 fpm, and up to 246 fpm. Print resolution is 600x600 native dpi, the extended color gamut achieves over 90% of the Pantone range, and the white has an opacity over 70%. Domino N610i delivers the highest digital productivity, the best digital UV inkjet quality, the most consistent print results, and is a simple operating model. At Argent Tape & Label, the Domino runs near-line with a Delta ModTech finishing system.
