At the association’s recent Converter Meeting in Asheville, North Carolina, TLMI announced the winners of the Eugene Singer Award for Management Excellence. One of the industry’s most prestigious and highest honors, the Singer Award recognizes excellence in business management measured and defined by an established set of growth and profitability ratios through participation in the TLMI Management Ratio Study.
Nearly 100 TLMI member converters throughout the United States and Canada participated in the Ratio Study, however only four companies are awarded the Eugene Singer honor each year. This year, the awards were given to the following companies:
- Grandville, Mich.-based Precision Label, Inc. won in the small company category for the third time.
- Yorba Linda, Calif.-based Digital Label Solutions won for the mid-range company category. This is the company’s fifth time winning the Eugene Singer Award.
- Aurora, Ill.-based The Label Printers won for the medium company category. This is The Label Printers’ tenth consecutive year winning the Eugene Singer Award.
- Sanford, Fla.-based Consolidated Label won for the large company category. This is Consolidated Label’s seventeenth consecutive year winning the Eugene Singer Award.
TLMI President, Dan Muenzer, comments, “I would like to personally congratulate all of this year’s Eugene Singer Award winners. Our converter members repeatedly tell me that the Ratio Study remains one of the greatest resources TLMI offers to participating companies. For those few converter members who don’t participate, I strongly urge you to do so. No other industry association offers this type of extensive peer-to-peer ratio benchmarking resource. It’s one of the crown jewels of TLMI and I’m proud to lead an association that continues to be unwaveringly dedicated to its members.”
