TLMI announced that the association has charted a new course for its market intelligence and research offerings for converter and supplier members. Moving forward, the association’s Index & Trend Report will be rebranded as TLMI MarketWatch and will be published twice yearly with a Converter Edition in the spring and a Brand Owner/Packaging Buyer edition later in the year.
TLMI has commissioned industry market research firm LPC, Inc. to research and compile TLMI MarketWatch in 2019 and LPC is currently in the process of putting together the report’s Converter Edition which will be published and made available to association members in the coming months. This upcoming edition will feature a state-of-the-industry overview of the North American label and narrow web printed packaging market, in addition to a deeper analysis of converters’ 2019 sales revenues-to-date and what converters anticipate the rest of the year will bring. The report will also offer an in-depth analysis of the current state of the North American digital label industry versus the state of the conventional market with market-sizing, revenues-per-press data and projected growth for each technology. In addition to market sizing and forecasts, TLMI MarketWatch will also report on the growth markets of extended content labeling, liner-less labels, flexible packaging on narrow web presses and other opportunity segments.
Dan Muenzer, TLMI President, comments, “TLMI takes market research very seriously. The TLMI Ratio Study is one of the greatest association assets we offer to our converter members and our goal is to build upon the Ratio Study’s foundation and offer relevant market intelligence that our members cannot get anywhere else. TLMI MarketWatch is another step in that direction and the research work is backed by TLMI’s Market Intelligence Advisory Group, a collective of TLMI members who are able to inform and assist our objectives with intelligence as we grow and constantly upgrade our offerings. The TLMI Index & Trend Report has long been a valuable resource to our converter and supplier members and in 2019 we will be taking this initiative to new heights. We thought rebranding the report in the process was a smart move and look forward to continuing our work with the team at LPC, Inc. in pushing this important initiative forward.”
