The University of the Arts Receives FlightCheck Software Donation from Markzware
SANTA ANA, Calif.—The University of the Arts (UArts) in Philadelphia has received a $103,389 donation from Markzware, a leading software publishing company. UArts is dedicated to educating creative individuals in the visual, performing, and communicative arts.
“We are thrilled with Markzware’s consistent and extraordinary generosity in helping us pursue our educational mission,” according to UArts Professor Harris Fogel, coordinator of the photography program and technology liaison for the College of Arts and Design. “Experts predicted the PDF format would make life easier and less complicated for designers, photographers, printers and other creative folks. With the proliferation of new file formats, font technologies, expansion of the PDF standard and even modifications to long established formats like TIFFs, the exact opposite has happened. The need for truly in-depth analysis of files, projects and assignments has never been more important. We are delighted to have Markzware’s best-of-class preflighting and conversion tools available as a learning tool for our students, faculty and staff.”
