PPC Welcomes Four New Members
SPRINGFIELD, MA—August 17, 2012—The Paperboard Packaging Council (PPC) is pleased to announce that four new principal members recently joined the association:
Century Packaging is a NJ-based company that specializes in custom folding cartons design and manufacturing. It handles all aspects of folding carton creation, from prototypes to layout, manufacturing, and delivery. The company serves the New York/New Jersey/Pennsylvania tri-state area, as well as nationwide customers.
Color-Box LLC of Atlanta, focuses on the entire supply chain, which allows it to deliver packaging that drives sales. As a result, its customers enjoy greater shelf velocity with packaging that “pops,” along with the flexibility to create packaging to meet the needs of everything from supermarkets and club stores to mass merchants. Combined with operational efficiency and a wide range of board combinations and flute sizes, Color-Box puts packaging closer to the consumer than ever before.
Dee Paper Box of Chester PA, is a major resource for creative, innovative folding cartons and packaging for a wide range of industries. Founded in 1919 by Max Dee as a paper specialty supplier, the company expanded into the design and manufacture of folding cartons in the late 1950s. Today, Dee Paper operates from a converted 100,000-square-foot mill where it offers complete design and manufacturing capabilities, including electronic prepress, computer-to-plate (CTP), fully automated diemaking, multi-color offset printing, UV coating and varnishes, gluing, and barcoding.
A third generation manufacturer of paperboard folding cartons and mailing products, Pulver Packaging of Elk Grove, IL, focuses on short, medium, and large runs. Capabilities include six-color printing on substrates up to .040˝ on its Komori 640+C printing presses, Bobst SP102 diecutters, Jagenberg folder-gluers with self-seal attachments, and auto bottom attachments. The company also provides in-house structural and graphic design services.
“We’re thrilled to welcome these companies to the PPC family,” said Ben Markens, president of PPC. “I’m certain that our comprehensive array of programs will provide their entire staff with opportunities in education, marketing, profit advancement and networking.”
