Technicote Rebuilds its Cuyahoga Falls, OH Operation
CUYAHOGA FALLS, OH—September 6, 2012—Ever since a fire nearly destroyed most of its manufacturing facility in Cuyahoga Falls, OH, nine months ago, Technicote has been hard at work rebuilding its plant and wanted to provide the latest update on its progress.
Technicote has relocated some of the equipment that wasn’t damaged in the fire to an offsite facility in nearby Akron, OH—and continues to operate one coater in the Cuyahoga Falls facility. The balance of the business that had been supplied from Cuyahoga Falls was transferred to other Technicote plants.
The company's goal immediately following the fire was to replace the lost capacity with more capable equipment, while retaining the talented workforce that has been a big part of its success. After evaluating a number of different locations, the company decided to rebuild the plant on the same site, to have a larger and more capable facility.
Technicote reports that it is ahead of schedule on many of its activities. The building is 90 percent completed, and new equipment is now being delivered to the plant, with the installation process starting later this month. Startup of this equipment will be in the 4th quarter, and the company expects to ship products to customers late in the 4th quarter.
At Label Expo Americas 2012, Technicote will be showing a slideshow of “before” and “after” pictures at its booth #1547.
The company would like to thank its customers for their continued patience during this recovery process. Through persistent effort and dedication, Technicote will attain its goal to improve manufacturing capabilities and service to its customers for years to come.
