TLMI Reveals Label Award Contest Winners
A diversity of top-quality product decoration techniques was again on display in TLMI's annual Label Awards contest. Coming out on top with Best of Show honors was Napa, Calif.-based Collotype Labels USA with its offset-printed Le Pich, 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon wine label. Two Innovator Awards were presented. The North American Innovator Award went to Whitlam Label Company for its flexo-printed Evidence Bag entry, which is constructed to help ensure that proper chain-of-custody is maintained. The Innovator Award in the International category went to Germany-based Schreiner Group for its Pharma-Comb Void Label, designed to provide anti-tampering.
McDowell Screen Label & Printing had a strong showing with 15 awards, including nine first-place awards and six second-place awards. Multi-Color Corp. took home a total of nine awards, with four first-place honors. In addition, Multi-Color's Collotype North American operations won four awards (three firsts) and its International division added seven more (five firsts). pP
