Strategic Content Imaging Installs a Xeikon 6000

With a speed of 160 A4 pages (8.27˝ x 11.69˝) per minute and a duty cycle of almost 4 million pages per month, the Xeikon 6000 enables customers to achieve higher production volumes and increased profits. The Xeikon 6000 includes a new digital-front-end (X-800) and form adapted (FA) toner that deliver outstanding quality and cutting-edge workflow management tools. In addition, the Xeikon 6000 can handle paper stock from 40 gsm/27 lb text to 350 gsm/122 lb cover and can run a wide array of substrates in the market, including paperboard. Being web-fed, it has unbeatable format flexibility running substrate widths from 12.6˝ to 20˝ and unlimited, flexible image length. In addition, it is the only high volume digital color press that prints on both sides of the substrate in a single pass (one-pass-duplex printing). All these capabilities make it a perfect fit for SCI’s print applications, including educational textbook production.
