Spinnaker Coating, a manufacturer of pressure sensitive paper and film products for the printing industry, has hired Michael Marasch as vice president, roll marketing and sales, Joseph Roth as director of technical consulting and Adam Shea as quality manager.

Guzzetti, Jr., chairman and CEO of Spinnaker. “These positions are extremely important in assuring a positive interaction with our customers, both from a human and product standpoint.”
After graduating from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, with a degree in chemistry-business, Marasch began a long and successful career working in sales and marketing leadership positions for several Fortune 500 companies in the chemicals and polymers industry. Most recently, he spent more than five years with the MACtac division of Bemis Co., where he served, sequentially, as senior director of marketing of its roll PS label and technical products businesses. As vice president of roll marketing and sales at Spinnaker, Marasch will focus his efforts on growing the roll products business through implementation of strategic programs aimed at increasing the value of its product line to its customers.
Roth has a BA in chemistry from the University of Wisconsin – LaCrosse, and a PhD in analytical chemistry from Purdue University. He began his career at the consumables division of NCR Corp., where, over a 17 year period, he was awarded 60 U.S. patents relating to printing, security printing, and thermal transfer ribbons. For the four years prior to joining Spinnaker, he served as director of technical and quality for Technicote. At Spinnaker, Roth will be responsible for leading, defining, and coordinating technical service to Spinnaker Coating's customers regarding material selection, knowledge of label applications, and converting of label materials.
In his position as quality manager, Shea will be responsible for managing the quality staff, processes, and all quality efforts throughout the manufacturing organization. He has been trained as an ISO 9001 internal auditor and ISO 19011 management system auditor, and comes to us with many years of experience in wide web specialty coatings, high performance laminations, label manufacturing, and paper related business, most recently at Clondalkin Pharma & Healthcare. Early in his career, Shea served for five years in the United States Marine Corps, Aerospace, including two tours of duty in Iraq.
During his service, he achieved the rank of staff sergeant, where among his other responsibilities, he supervised six aircraft mechanics for F/A-18 jets and was a quality assurance representative responsible for safe flight maintenance. He has an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
