SPICERS and Coast Paper to Sell KODAK NEXPRESS
ROCHESTER, N.Y.—SPICERS and Coast Paper, divisions of PaperlinX Canada, now offer a full line of KODAK NEXPRESS Digital Production Color Presses, making it easier than ever for Canadian printers to adopt the award winning digital print technology. Under terms of the agreement, SPICERS and Coast Paper will sell the KODAK NEXPRESS 2100, 2100 Plus and 2500 Presses, and the recently announced S3000 when available later this year.
“SPICERS’ and Coast Paper’s sales associates are some of the most highly trained and knowledgeable in the business and their customer base stretches throughout Canada, making them an ideal sales partner for the KODAK NEXPRESS Digital Color Platform,” said Kevin Joyce, managing director, Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group, U.S. and Canada. “We look forward to working with SPICERS and Coast Paper to help Canadian printers capitalize on the growth opportunities presented by digital print.”
The KODAK NEXPRESS 2100 Plus, 2500 and S3000 Digital Color Production Color Presses address customers with the most demanding productivity and volume requirements. These systems also offer the optional GATF InterTech Award-winning KODAK NEXPRESS Fifth Imaging Unit, which enables a wide range of unique applications by providing a wider color gamut, clear ink capabilities for security, watermarking and protection, as well as a very appealing and cost effective high gloss finish when used in conjunction with the glosser unit.
KODAK NEXPRESS production presses are designed to meet the needs of customers alternating between offset and digital environments because they provide an open workflow, outstanding color matching capabilities, and the broadest range of offset substrate compatibility.
“Adding the NEXPRESS platform of digital color printing solutions to our portfolio helps our customers enter the digital printing market and expand their digital print business by providing a NEXPRESS press that meets their unique needs,” said Larry Jackson, president, SPICERS. “We look forward to helping our customers across Canada tap into the business growth opportunities that the NEXPRESS platform offers.”
Kodak’s agreement involves sales and distribution in Eastern Canada through SPICERS and in Western Canada through Coast Paper. Coast Paper serves the specific western markets of British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan. SPICERS addresses customers in the remaining seven eastern provinces. This arrangement takes advantage of the Canadian company’s robust distribution infrastructure to provide customers with quick turnaround of operator replaceable component parts, which enable printers to take control of their print operations and dry ink orders.
