Opal label inspection slitter/ rewinders from Ashe Converting can accommodate all types of self-adhesive materials. The Opal has a maximum web speed of 220 m (722´)/min and is available as standard in 330mm (13˝) and 410mm (16˝) web widths. Opal slitter rewinders are PLC-controlled and are equipped with end-of-roll automatic slow down facility, electronic web edge guide system, three-knife scissor section, 1500mm (60˝) inspection area complete with splice table and clamps, and electronic tension control. A separate drive motor on the rewind drive provides for over-wind and under-wind operation with accurate rewind tension. Options include label detection facilities, stroboscope, reel lift system, web advance system, flag/ splice detector, waste rewinder, and edge trim extraction.
