With more than 540 exhibitors and over 40 educational and networking options, the 2017 SGIA Expo (New Orleans, Oct. 10–12) is adding up to three days of countless opportunities.
Registration is now open and the latest edition of the premier event for imaging features a sold-out show floor.
Wall-to-Wall Exhibitors
Over 540 companies plan to exhibit at the 2017 SGIA Expo, and they serve a wide range of digital and analog technologies, according to SGIA President and CEO Ford Bowers. Products on the floor will include everything from screen mesh and dye sublimation ink to grand-format digital printers and textiles.
“We’re wall-to-wall with exhibitors who will show the latest technologies for graphics, garments, signs, digital textile, installation, printed electronics and industrial printing,” Bowers said. “The SGIA Expo floor is the place to find the newest products and techniques serving your markets.”
40+ Educational Options
Educational sessions fall into four tracks: Graphics and Sign, Garment Decoration, Industrial Imaging and Business Management, and supplementing them is a slate of workshops and conferences that give attendees a deeper dive into their topics. Wide-Format 101: Four Steps to Profitability and Your Business: Prepare for Success lay foundations for thriving imaging businesses, while Wrap Like a Pro provides hands-on training and the Printed Electronics Symposium explores markets and applications for e-textiles.
“There’s always something to learn in our industry, and the SGIA Expo is the place to learn it,” said Bowers. Classes are included in the Expo + Education Pass, free to SGIA members with registration. Workshops and conferences have fees outside the pass. Nonmembers can join SGIA during registration to take advantage of the Expo + Education Pass, or pay just $99 for it ($115 starting September 13).
Networking events are another avenue to learn at the Expo. Luncheons for the garment decorators, industrial applications and sustainability communities, plus a breakfast for the Women in Print Alliance, will include speakers as well as networking times.
Three Days of Countless Opportunities
“The industry is buzzing about this show,” Bowers noted. “Year after year, the SGIA Expo brings the imaging industry together to explore opportunities and technologies, to master techniques and new ideas. But this year, the buzz is beginning early.”
Hotel reservations are outpacing 2016 bookings, he added.
“Activity in a hotel block is a good indicator of attendance,” he said. “The pace at which rooms are being reserved just reinforces that the industry is excited about the 2017 SGIA Expo.”
