SATO to Buy Checkpoint's Barcode Systems Businesses

For the nine months ended September 25, 2005, Checkpoint's BCS businesses generated revenue of $73 million and as of the third quarter of 2005, the results of these businesses were reported in "discontinued operations," as required by the accounting standards. William Blair & Company acted as financial advisor to Checkpoint in connection with the transaction.
