EXTON, Pa.—Global specialty chemicals manufacturer Sartomer Company has appointed Alan Pape as business development manager. Pape is responsible for developing new business and markets for the specialty polymers division, which includes appliciations such as one-part moisture-curable and reactive hot-melt adhesives and sealants, tie layers between non-polar surfaces, and as modifiers for other polymer systems. He will report directly to Bill Wittig, business manager of Sartomer’s specialty polymers division.
Pape has been with Sartomer for eight years, and previously held the positions of technical sales representative and product champion. He was named Sartomer’s Salesperson of the Year in 2001. Pape holds a bachelor of science degree in chemistry from Moravian College (Bethlehem, Pa.) and holds an M.B.A. from the University of Rhode Island (Kingston, R.I.).
