Rotoflex is set to present a wide array of off-line finishing solutions on the Mark Andy Stand (319) during Labelexpo Americas, to be held September 13-15. The newest business responsive technology from Rotoflex is the HSI 330 designed for high-volume label slitting, inspection and rewinding in an operator-friendly horizontal configuration. Joining the HSI is the compact, high-speed VSI 330 slitter rewinder and the VLI 700 premier inspection, slitting and rewind system for conventional labels and unsupported film.
The HSI brings many operational and ergonomic benefits to label converters, featuring end-to-end servo control, web width of 330 or 440mm, up to 1,000 fpm (305 mpm) running speed, extra-large inspection table, 37˝ (940mm) high editing area, and easily accessible slitting module. Configurable for a variety of vision inspection solutions, the HSI offers a wide range of options including biometric authentication, and Rotoflex's exclusive Report Management System (RMS), which will be demonstrated live on stand. These features help converters maximize uptime, accessibility and security.
Daily interactive presentations will be held for all three machines on stand. Of particular interest to flexible packaging printers, the VLI will be at a significantly wide web width of 700mm and will run delicate film applications at speeds of 2,000 fpm (610 mpm).
Also demonstrated will be the advanced URC 2.0 proprietary control system. This system, available on all Rotoflex finishing solutions offers simple menus and an intuitive interface, giving operators the ability to monitor all functions from a single screen. Each of the machines will also demonstrate the benefits of vision inspection, with the EyeC ProofRunner (VLI 700), E+L SMARTSCAN (VSI 330) and Nikka Research Alis M1+ (HSI 330).
Rotoflex sales and engineering veterans will educate show visitors on the complete portfolio of innovative solutions that drive customer profitability. For example, Vericut3 next generation premier off-line digital and conventional web finishing solution, the new Security Series for extremely demanding requirements of advanced security and pharmaceutical applications, and servo-driven diecutters such as the versatile DSI for precision diecutting or advanced roll and label inspection, and the top-of-the-line DLI platform with high-speed precision and faster operating speeds.
Customers interested in retrofitting or rebuilding existing Rotoflex installations with the latest technology advancements are also welcomed to visit the stand for a personal consultation. This work is now completed in Rotoflex's new, 12,000 sq. ft. building near Toronto, making these enhancements even more accessible to the North American market.
"We have an impressive line-up of finishing solutions in store for Labelexpo," comments Kevin Gourlay, VP of Rotoflex. "As a pioneer of the first vertical inspection slitting and rewinding machine introduced over 40 years ago at Labelexpo Americas, we are pleased to once again showcase this technology in the VSI, that has evolved to be the most recognized series throughout the world. The new HSI horizontal slitter rewinder, advancements of the VLI series, and our range of finishing solutions to be presented on show proves our commitment in providing leading Business Responsive Technologies to support printers and converters world-wide in their off-line label finishing workflow."
The range of Rotoflex offline finishing solutions complements the robust offering of printing equipment to be demonstrated by Mark Andy on stand 319, including a high-speed flexible packaging narrow-web Performance Series press, high-production hybrid Digital Series press, and the new entry-level Digital One label press.
