Rose City Label Receives TLMI L.I.F.E. Certification
Scott Pillsbury, Rose City Label President, commented on what it was like to undergo the L.I.F.E. certification process as a small-scale converter. “Project L.I.F.E. was a challenging, rewarding process for our company," he said. "As a small converter, we didn't have many of the written policy letters required for the program, so we had to create all of these documents. We pride ourselves on not having many written policies or standing meetings, so this was a bit of a change to our normal operating methods. It was valuable, however, to formalize and document some of these company values and management practices."
On a positive note, the program required Rose City Label to pay more attention to its waste and energy usage and share this information with all employees on a regular basis. "Keeping this data in front of all our team members will help us reduce our waste as well as reminding everyone how important this goal is to our company," remarked Pillsbury. "This formalized monitoring and sharing will probably be the best long term positive result of Project L.I.F.E. for our company.”
The TLMI L.I.F.E. Program is the only certification platform tailored to the specific requirements of the narrow web printing and packaging industry.
