Welcome to Labelexpo Americas 2012!
Uncovering the greatest technological advances of our time is the theme to this year's Labelexpo Americas and where better to see the latest presses, materials, and technologies available to label and package printing converters?
As America's largest converting show returns to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Rosemont, Chicago, between 11-13 September, we're pleased to announce 2012's edition will occupy more than 185,000 sq. ft. and be larger than 2010's show. With more than 400 exhibitors including Avery Dennison, UPM Raflatac, Gallus, EskoArtwork, Nilpeter, Flint Group, Mark Andy, and Sun Chemical, show visitors will be perfectly positioned to make informed choices from the numerous live demonstrations of the latest machinery and materials.
The two-day conference program will tackle the most important topics and concerns that are facing businesses. While examining the most pressing issues facing the industry, it includes presentations on the benefits of digital printing, reducing waste, current security solutions for brand protection, and a valuable seminar from renowned executive coach Brian Parsley of WeSkill.
Also not to be missed are two industry panel debates. The CEO round table will be moderated by Avery Dennison's Don Nolan and panelists including Art Yerecic of Yerecic Label/TLMI, Nigel Vinecombe from Multi-Color Corp., and Tapp Label Technologies' John Attayek, will explore how to differentiate your business from the competition and maximize capital and employee investment. The global converter panel discussion will compare trends across North America, Latin America, Asia, and Europe and highlight new technology trends and opportunities in aiding future growth.
Day three is again dedicated to the digital printing master class which will be chaired by Mike Fairley Labelexpo's director of strategic development. Ideal for converters looking to invest in digital printing for the first time, it will arm them with everything they need to know about the main digital technologies, workflow and color management, and how to optimize sales and marketing in a digital environment.
The show floor again plays host to several key feature areas. The well-attended technology workshops return with a live demonstration and comparison of four machines in the Laser Die Cutting Workshop. Sei Spa, Spartanics, AB Graphic International, and Delta Industrial are taking part in four workshops, run by a neutral moderator, with their machines each testing a different cutter profile. We also introduce Ecovillage which will showcase the latest products and services designed to support a better performing, more environmentally conscious label industry.
Label and package printers looking to diversify and add value to their operations will be able to reap the benefits of attending the new Package Printing Workshop sessions—one of the fastest growing areas in the industry. Xeikon (digital printing and converting); Esko (design, prepress, and workflow); RotoMetrics (diecutting technology); and cartonboard, film, and heat transfer materials suppliers have between them developed three comprehensive sessions that will run each day to showcase the opportunities digital prepress and printing can provide.
While the show is always designed to look at fresh, radical ways of doing business, there will be ample time for networking and social activities too, especially as a new entertainment development, the Park at Rosemont, opened this spring. We're also again delighted to provide the backdrop for the Label Industry Global Awards ceremony and gala dinner, being held on the first evening at the Aragon Ballroom.
Labelexpo Americas is really a must-attend event for anyone in the label, product decoration, web printing, and converting industry. Whether you are based in the U.S., Canada, or Latin America, can you really afford to miss the opportunity to see the latest technology in action, network with the industry's leading suppliers and experts, and use your time to deliver real value to your business? pP
