Ritrama and Avery Dennison Division Receive TLMI L.I.F.E. Certification
GLOUCESTER, MA—December 3, 2012—Minneapolis-based Ritrama and Avery Dennison’s Fort Wayne, IN division have recently been awarded L.I.F.E. (Label Initiative for the Environment) certification from TLMI. The Project L.I.F.E. program was developed in order to assist TLMI members to find cost effective ways to reduce their companies’ environmental footprint. L.I.F.E. is a program designed specifically for the narrow web marketplace and addresses four key elements of the narrow web printing and converting industry: clean production, energy and greenhouse gases, product and environmentally preferable materials, and management practices.
“With 36 TLMI member companies now L.I.F.E. certified and more in the application process, we will surpass 40 L.I.F.E. certified companies in 2013 and that is an outstanding achievement,” said TLMI President, Frank Sablone. “Ritrama and Avery’s certifications reinforce that the L.I.F.E. program has tangible benefits for both supplier and converter members as companies continue to seek ways to demonstrate to their customers, and to the greater industry, that they take environmental best practices very seriously.”
