Channeled Resources Group Buys Remaining Shares of GMC Coating
CHICAGO—Channeled Resources Group, a worldwide leader in the field of reprocessed specialty paper and film, has been a 50 percent owner of GMC Coatings, Ltd. since its inception. Channeled Resources Group has announced the acquisition of the remaining 50 percent. As 100 percent owners, Channeled Resources Group plans on focusing its attention on building GMC’s custom release liner business. The focus will be on excellent quality, short lead times, and unique coatings and printing solutions.
GMC is a niche coater of release liners. Its forte is printed, narrow width, and unique differential silicone release liners. The major markets it sells into are medical, sealant, tape, envelope, and crafts.
GMC, located in Markham, Ontario, joins Channeled Resources Group’s other divisions as a supplier of first-quality silicone coated release liners. Channeled also sells seconds of liner and pressure sensitive roll label stock at its Maratech facility. Maratech is one of the largest reprocessors of coated, treated, and laminated films and paper in the world. In addition to GMC and Maratech, CRG’s Recycling Solutions division helps customers reduce waste by creating alternatives to landfilling.
