The Flexible Packaging Association (FPA) 2016 Fall Executive Conference was a great success. The meeting had a record-breaking 134 attendees and welcomed speakers that focused on topics and issues important to the flexible packaging industry, such as material recovery for the future, flexible packaging advocacy, the advantages of switching to flexible packaging, merger and acquisition perspectives, flexible packaging market growth opportunities, and an update on the polyolefin market.
In addition to industry content, FPA provided insight into the economy and the election. Glenn Thrush, POLITICO's chief political correspondent and host of the 2016 election podcast "Off Message," provided his insight into the 2016 presidential election, "Behind the Scenes & Unvarnished: Today’s Political Landscape and the Race for the White House." Rich Karlgaard, economic and business innovation thought leader, publisher and columnist for Forbes, entrepreneur and author, spoke about "How the 2016 Elections Will Rock Your Business."
Dr. Beck Weathers captivated meeting attendees with his experience of surviving a horrific storm on Mount Everest in 1996. Dr. Weathers’ appearance was generously sponsored by Charter NEX Films, Flint Group and Sun Chemical Corp.
The FPA 2016 Fall Executive Conference included many networking opportunities for FPA members. Special thanks is given to FPA members Berry Plastics, Bobst North America, Comexi North America, Energy Sciences, ExxonMobil Chemical Co., HP, Inteplast Engineered Films, Nordmeccanica, NA, NOVA Chemicals, Siegwerk USA, and Westlake Chemical Corp. for their support of the FPA 2016 Fall Executive Conference networking events.
